~ Footsteps ~

I walked upon the shores of forever
again last night in my dreams
It's so cool and peaceful there
and no earthly concerns pursue me
These sands of time are so soft and inviting
and my impressions always feel brand new
It's a place of wonder and possibilities
unfettered from fears and doubts
I feel so natural, alive, and at home
as I listen to the surf rolling in
It's a magical and mystical harmony
which seems in tune with the heavens
And quite often I become mesmerized
by the incredible beauty of the music
Being sung by the stars and the moon
as they gracefully waltz across the sky
It is a time of healing and renewal
as they caress my heart and soul
And sometimes I hear them whisper
that we were all born from the same light
And I am reminded that it matters not
the size of the footprints I might leave behind
But that I realize the far more important lesson
of learning to walk with love and understanding.
